Financial Audit Intern

We are looking for a responsible goal-setter who wants to increase their experience in accounting, while learning about the world of financial auditing. Part-time 8-20 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience by assisting senior auditors with standard auditing procedures such as preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures, preparing client workpapers, and completing balance sheet, income, and disbursement testing.
• Maintain working relationships with our clients.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in accounting or related field.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to travel to Capitol Hill office.

Location:
Denver office in Capitol Hill 
**We are beginning to visit our clients again. Onsite fieldwork is typically conducted in the Denver Metro area, as well as surrounding cities and various mountain towns.

Salary

$20/hour

Auditor-In-Training

We are looking for someone eager to develop their skills in accounting, gain experience in financial auditing, and work with nonprofits that benefit our communities. Part- to full-time opportunities available (25+ hours a week).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the engagement planning process.
• Gain experience by assisting senior auditors in the field.
• Assist with auditing procedures such as preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures, preparing client workpapers, and completing balance sheet, income, and disbursement testing.
• Learn how to research applicable accounting related issues.
• Maintain working relationships with our clients via phone and email.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently acquired a degree in accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work both independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel locally around the Denver area.

Location:

Staff Auditor

Seeking a strong self-starter with 1-3 years of accounting or auditing experience to perform assigned auditing procedures with the goal of becoming a lead auditor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with various accounting software programs.
• Able to work both independently and with a team.
• Willingness to travel locally around the Denver area.

Senior Auditor

We are seeking an experienced financial auditor who is excited to work with nonprofits.

Responsibilities

• Run point on your own audits, following them from start to finish.
• Perform auditing procedures such as preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures, preparing client workpapers, and completing balance sheet, income, and disbursement testing.
• Research applicable accounting related issues.
• Maintain working relationships with our clients via phone and email.
• Be a source of assistance to less seasoned auditors.

Qualifications

• Preferably 7-10 years of auditing experience (CPA is desirable, but not required).
• Exposure to accounting for nonprofits.
• Degree in accounting or related field.
• Understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Understanding of QuickBooks or related software.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Great communication with clients.
• Willingness to travel locally around the Denver area.
